I ordered red and blue for my grandsons and black for myself, because everyone knows that the Black Dragon is mine. It’s officially called Silver but it’s black with silver highlights, so it’s perfectly beautiful for my black beauty.I haven’t actually used it yet but it seems to be very good quality with a good quality paper. The size is a bit smaller than I’d like, but perfect for the grandsons who are pre-teens. I love it so much, I don’t mind the size, but of course it depends on what you want to use it for.I love how the covers are done. The front cover is bold and heavily carved and textured perfectly. The colors are rich, and thoughtfully used. It feels like your dragon the moment you first lock eyes with it. That’s how well these are done.The back cover is different but equally nice, with a good quality feel to it and nicely designed and textured.I can’t speak to the longevity of the elastic band. It feels like a good quality, but only time will tell how it holds up, especially with the grandsons.I really appreciate that the covers lay basically flat when opened for use, and I do believe that after a few uses it will loosen up enough to lay nicely when using, and the spines are solid and seem like they’ll hold up well.Over all, I would definitely recommend these journals. I love them and I will certainly be buying more of them, even if just to have a friend for my beloved Black Dragon. ; )Loved this beautiful journal, just perfect.My gaming mascot is a blue dragon. However, the bindings and paper are not of great quality. Just the average cheap notebook. I've seen notebooks of significantly better quality.Not happy was not leather as statedLooked nice but even better in person. Wow.
